Management

Based on its statutes, the institute is led by a management board which comprises a director, a deputy director, a deputy director of development, a quality manager and a human resources manager. The work of the institute is managed by the director, with whom an employment contract is entered into, amended and terminated by the Minister of Justice. In the absence of the director, his or her duties are fulfilled by the deputy director appointed by the director. In the absence of the deputy director, his or her duties or those of the director are fulfilled by an individual appointed by the director. Departments are subordinate to the director through the deputy directors. The Development and Personnel Division, the Administration Division and the Economic Division are directly subordinate to the director. The Quality Division is subordinate to the deputy director of development.

The research and development committee advises management on the organisation of forensic science, professional training and research and development within the field of competence of the institute.
