18. June 2025 Estonia and Sweden Sign Prison Lease Agreement

On Wednesday, June 18, Minister of Justice and Digital Affairs Liisa-Ly Pakosta and Minister of Justice of the Kingdom of Sweden Gunnar Strömmer signed a prison lease agreement between the two countries. The implementation of the agreement ensures the continued operation of Tartu Prison as strategic infrastructure along with jobs. The agreement will enter into force after its ratification by the parliaments of both countries.

10. June 2025 Foreign men most frequently turn to the support line for labour exploitation

Today marks the launch of the social campaign “You Have Rights!”, initiated by the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Digital Affairs. The aim of the campaign is to raise awareness among foreign workers about their rights and to encourage them to seek help when necessary.

03. April 2025 International conference on critical submarine infrastructure held in Tallinn

Today 3 April, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Justice and Digital Affairs organised an international conference on maritime law and critical submarine infrastructure, with Minister of Justice and Digital Affairs Liisa-Ly Pakosta and Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna formally opening the event.
