06. December 2024 Minister Pakosta: we need to enhance Europe's competitiveness

Minister of Justice and Digital Affairs Liisa Pakosta participated in the The TTE Council meeting in Brussels. Pakosta supported the adoption of the Council's conclusions on the cybersecurity agency ENISA and the White Paper ,,How to master Europe’s digital infrastructure needs?”.

06. December 2024 Pakosta: the ,,one in, one out’’ principle is on the table in Brussels

Minister of Justice and Digital Affairs, Liisa Pakosta is in Brussels, where she met with European Commissioner for Democracy, Justice, the Rule of Law and Consumer Protection, Michael McGrath; Commissioner for Internal Affairs and Migration, Magnus Brunner and Executive Vice-President for Tech Sovereignty, Security and Democracy, Henna Virkkunen.

29. November 2024 The Design Law Treaty, which simplifies design registration on an international level, was adopted in Riyadh last week

Last Friday, the member states of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) adopted a design law treaty in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The treaty, resulting from over 20 years of negotiations, makes the protection of design solutions easier, faster, and more affordable. Its aim is to standardize the design registration process and provide designers with better protection worldwide.

20. November 2024 Estonia and Quebec Sign a Statement of Intent to Develop Digital Cooperation

Today, the Minister of Justice and Digital Affairs Liisa Pakosta and the Deputy Minister for Cybersecurity and Digital Affairs of the Quebec region of Canada, Stéphane Le Bouyonnec, signed a statement of intent to cooperate in the development of secure data exchange, digital identity, and artificial intelligence at the Tallinn Digital Summit.
